About

Welcome to 10013, the TriBeCa Foundation!

Our mission is to document the spirit of TriBeCa through the eyes of long time resident, Donna Ferrato. These photographs reveal the sedimentary strata of generations of immigrants, gangsters, captains of industry, politicians, workers and artists who walked these centuries old, cobblestone sidewalks. They capture the manners and mores of today's denizens who, lured by its old-world grace and simplicity, have made TriBeCa an extraordinary place to live.

Through the practice of photography, painting, sculpture and video, 10013 endeavors to be the vault for moments past, present and future, with yearly events and publications to celebrate and preserve our history.

Please get set for the live show folks! Stay tuned for our next grand announcement about where 10013 will headline next.

A newly established 501(c)3 with a mission to celebrate the historical importance of the Tribeca neighborhood in New York while raising awareness about local issues and encouraging a lively arts community.

"Donna Ferrato miraculously manages to capture TriBeCa from two completely distinct points of view at the same time: she can stand at a distance with the objective eye of a compassionate, awestruck outsider as well as take us inside the heart of our big city hamlet with the love and care that only a native could possibly possess. She has the ability to artfully merge these seemingly opposing vantage points into one singular, truthful, and gracefully beautiful vision"

Photographer & Historian

Donna Ferrato

10013 is the artist's own zip code. Back when the territory was wild and free Donna Ferrato crafted a home in a dilapidated warehouse on Leonard Street. With the same Leica used to photograph love and violence, she turned the lens on her own world.

Hank Widmaier

Hank had over 30 years of experience as a real estate agent and an angel investor. Hank brings an artist's eye to seeing value in the new, the not yet defined. An early adapter to loft living in TriBeCa or as it was known then, The Washington Market, Hank saw the value in properties for residential uses that were prior used for dry storage. The urban live work loft home with its wide open high-ceilinged space and long commercial use which came to be defined as adaptive reuse. A prime example of the ability to see the new helped him guide a New York museum to its new home in a cutting-edge neighborhood. He led the museum to a location that established not only a new destination but also helped redefine one of NY’s oldest neighborhoods - The Bowery. Which has become synonymous with cutting-edge art galleries, exhibitions, and fashion.  The Institution - The New Museum of Contemporary Art. He is just as proud of the Portfolio sale of trust properties owned by Princeton & Yale Universities, the American Bible Society, advised by J.P Morgan, sold to a family investment fund.  No other single broker has sold more Landmark designated buildings in Tribeca. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, art/woodworking studio, dog & garden.
